Just got home from a sibling dinner. Brian and I met my sister, brother-in-law, nephew, brother and brother's girlfriend for some family bonding this evening. This basically never happens (excepting holidays,) so it was really nice to all get together for a bit.

Nothing is new, we are all the same as we ever were, but there is something about hanging out as a group that is quite entertaining. I think it's just some sort of DNA coding that makes it possible for you to make your sister/brother snort soda through their nose until the day you die. Just one of the many perks of siblinghood.

But now I'm home and, from the looks of things outside my window, I imagine that's where I'll be staying for the next few days. It started snowing around Christmas time and has pretty much kept going. Sure, there were a few off days, but when you live in the Midwest when do you really figure things will die down? March? Maybe April?

So, we are in for the evening. Next weekend at this time Brian will be off to sunny California for a bachelor party. I, meanwhile, will be in Indiana. Snowy Indiana. Does anyone else sense the injustice there? Just sayin.

I have my own plans for the weekend, so I won't be entirely bored. There has even been talk of tattoos but, at this point, I've talked about getting one for so long that it's no longer news until I actually suck it up and get one. I'll keep you posted.

For now, I'm going to go relax with that man I married and enjoy the snowfall.

Happy weekending.
